No, because the league is using the official servers and lobbies, iRacing will dictate your car number based on your split and iRating
No, we score you based on your finishing position not the strength of field or split you are in. Our Points at the end of the season will likely look very different than iRacing's. The key is to finish consistently.
The winner of the top split will score as many points as the winner of the bottom split, give or take any bonuses or penalties. In fact the last place driver, with DiRS entry, will score more points than a winning driver that did not enter into the DiRS Championship, however all drivers will score championship points.
DiRS will use only the official iRacing rules and automated admin duties. This makes for consistent ruling and judgement.
At the end of the season when all the points have been tallied the top 30% of all drivers will receive there share of the purse via PayPal. Example: if 100 drivers enter the championship the top 30 drivers will receive a payout, with the 30th place driver receiving their entry money back.
Yes, for a single $15 entry, paid via PayPal, they charge us $.75, we match the PayPal fee to cover the time our it takes for our administrators to input the each split, help cover some of the broadcast fee's, and facilitate invite/participant only payout race's. In example above the fee is on the high end at 10%, however as the tiers progress the less the our fee becomes relative to the entry fee.
